Bridgeview Toy Con on December 4th!

We are happy to say that we will be at the Bridgeview Toy Show on December 4th, 2011. This is their annual Charity Show (for more information please visit http://www.toycontoyshow.com/Our_Products.html ) and will be full of vendors, so its a great place to get your christmas shopping done! Santa may show up as well! Its going to be a blast!

We are pleased to announce that we will be doing the next Toy Con in Bridgeview, IL and the Lincoln Center in Highland, IN.

Bridgeview Toy Con is located in Bridgeview, IL on October 16th. It features a HUGE variety of classic and new toys and is always a great place to spend the day. Thier website, along with driving instructions is located on our “shows” page for those who need it, and we hope to see many familure faces this time too!

The Lincoln Center is a shopping experience in Highland, IN this November. They feature a variety of different sellers, and we are one of the many that specialize in trading cards. Their information is also located under the shows tab

The upcoming shows should be great and we can’t wait! We’ve got tons of new cards too – Emerging Powers and Innistrad will both be available ~

This week, we saw some great cards from the new Magic the Gathering set, Innistrad. All over the web, cards have been spoiled giving us a great glimpse of the new set.

Pokemon fans delight! The next set, Emerging Powers, should be released on or around the 31st of this month, giving us one week before the release! What a great way to wrap up summer!

The set is to feature 96 new pokemon cards, all of which should be available on our eBay store. If there is one you want that isn’t posted yet, post here or send us an email. We will be happy to assist you!

Some of the pokemon from the Black & White series will be featured in this set – including audino, pansage, simisage, pansear, simisear, panpour, and simipour to name a few. New, unseen pokemon will also be in this set – including beartic, verizion, thundurous, and tornadous. New Trainer/Supporter cards Blanca, Charon, Pokemon Catcher, and Crushing Hammer are sure to bring new excitement into this already enjoyable game. (I know that sounded cheesy, I’m just so excited!)

Gearing Up for Back-to-School! SALE!

Hello again!

Last week was nothing short of amazing. The RTJ Hobbies crew really enjoyed the Obon Festival at the Mitsuwa Marketplace and Toy Con at Bridgeview. We will be there for the next exciting Toy Con as well! These two events really remind us that Summer is coming to an end, and that means school is going to start up again soon.

Theresa, head of the Pokemon department, knows that Back-to-School time brings about mixed feelings. When she goes back, she is eager to see all of her friends, and eager to start learning, but misses the freedom of the summer. So, when she suggested a 15% off sale to brighten the mood a bit, we started it with haste! Visit our eBay account (Click Shop to see how) to see all the fun things we put on sale! Remember, one good thing about going back to school and seeing all of your Pokepals again is seeing their new decks

Hello! Happy Obon Festival! Toycon!

Mitsuwa Marketplace in Arlington Heights is having an Obon Festival. Good Food, Good People, and Good Dancing for all! And a Free Jazz concert at the end. Its a great way to appreciate summer! Also Toycon in Bridgeview is Sunday, we’ll be right by the entrance! We have some great cards and collectibles available once again!

Havin’ a blast at Cyphan!

Hey guys! The RTJ Hobbies crew is having a blast at the Cyphan Sci-Fi Convention in Rosemont this weekend! We are about to kick off day two (Saturday 7/30/11) and will be in the dealers room from 9am to 6pm. We have some full decks put together by me (Theresa) for Standard Magic and tons of sealed booster packs, single cards (including a very shiny foil Chandra the Firebrand from M12), starter decks, gaming supplies, and tons of goodies!
